 It was earlier announced that Dhanush starrer Mariyaan will be released on 21st June but since there was delay in the Censor Board, this release is postponed by 7 days. Mariyaan is a film which has Dhanush and Parvathy in the lead roles.

 The Hindi film Raanjhnaa which has Dhanush in the lead role has been dubbed in Tamil with the title Ambikapathy. It was earlier announced the both the versions will be released simultaneously. For the first time Dhanush has donned the lead role in a Hindi film.
