Panithuli is a film which has Ganesh Venkataraman in the lead role. This film is directed by Natty Kumar. The audio CD of this film was recently released at Sathyam Cinemas in Chennai. Many, including Suhasini Manirathnam, producer T Siva and director Cheran participated in this function.

Producer T Siva speaking on this occasion said, "Most of the small budgeted are not being released due to non availability of theatres. Because of this producers are incurring heavy losses. So we have made an important decision in the Producers Council. High budgeted films are be released only on 14th January, 14TH April, 1st May, 15th August and Deepavali. This will pave way for the release of small budgeted films on the other days."
Actress Suhasini, "Apart from being an actress and person connected with cinema, as an ordinary woman audience, I have a request to make. Kindly introduce handsome heroes like MGR, Kamal, Aravind Sami and Ajith. Only beautiful heroines are being introduced. So my humble request is to introduce handsome heroes." Director Cheran while speaking with regard to this said, "Suhasini has mentioned like that because the heroes she spoke about were fair people. Madam, I would like to say that black colored heroes are also handsome. Try to enjoy and appreciate them."
There was laughter among the guests because of this clash between Cheran and Suhasini with regard to handsome matter.
