DhanushDirector Anand L Rai didn’t choose him over his ‘Why This Kolaveri Fame?’ factor, but had him in mind much prior to it. It all happened when Dhanush becomes the youngest National Award winner for his outstanding performance in Aadukalam.

Cinema News From Tamilomovie.com

The director says, ‘I wanted a very normal guy for the lead role and immediately after watching Dhanush performing so honest in Aadukalam, I had no other options than signing him.’

The film is a romantic drama set in backdrops of Banaras. Dhanush says, ‘I am not very well used to Hindi. But it is all about the matter of getting accustomed to the tradition, culture and ambience that will make you fluent in a Language.’

Dhanush has now started reading books based on ‘Gaining Fluency in Hindi’ and the shooting will commence shortly.

The SCARECROW should be eating birds' droppings..On being given the NATIONAL
AWARD, it all sums up to one known fact..IT'S NOT WHAT YOU KNOW, IT'S WHOM YOU
KNOW... Angadi Theru is a much much better bargain for the award..not the
cock..reel show. The irony part of the movie..the scarecrow paired with a
beauty..he should be paired with an APE...
