Nayanthara quit acting in order to marry her lover Prabhu Deva. The last film she had acted was the Telugu film titled Sri Rama Rajyam. Initially she refused to act in this film but later on when she came to know that she would be donning the role of Seetha, she agreed to act in this film with the permission of Prabhu Deva. On the last day of the shooting she bid farewell to the other cast and crew with tears in her eyes.

Some of her well wishers requested her to act again but her reply was a mere smile. People were ready to pay Rs 1 Crore for her to act in their films but she refused. She refused by saying that she had quit acting. There was also news that arrangements are being made for Prabhu Deva- Nayanthara’s marriage, but now Nayanthara has created a sensation in the tinsel world by signing for a Telugu film.
She will be pairing with Nagarjuna in a Telugu film. Both of them have already paired in the Telugu film titled Boss I Love You. Shiva Prasad Reddy is producing this film. Devi Sri Prasad is composing the music while Dasarath is directing this film. The shooting of this romantic film is commencing during the month of May. There is news that Nayanthara has taken up acting once again because there is a rift in her relationship with Prabhu Deva. It is understood that Nayanthara has lost her faith in Prabhu Deva because of his activities. She did not like Prabhu Deva because he had connection with his first wife family members even after the divorce. Apart from this there were rumors that Hansika had become closer to Prabhu Deva. It seems that romance has blossomed between Hansika and Prabhu Deva when he directed Engeyum Kadhal, because of this Prabhu Deva is reluctant in marrying Nayanthara. In view of the foregoing, Nayanthara has decided to act in films.
