Rama Narayanan speaks about remaking Kanchana in Kannada

Kanchana in KannadaThe Tamil film Kanchana which had Raghava Lawrence in the lead role is being remade in Kannada. Rama Narayana is directing this film. He while speaking about this film said, "This is 125th film that I am directing. I have directed numerous films in Kannada.

The Tamil film Kanchana is being remade in Kannada with the title Kalpana. Kanchana is the name of the popular actress in Tamil film industry. Similarly Kalpana is also a famous actress in Tamil and Kannada film industry. Upendra is donning the lead role. Sai Kumar is donning an important role in this film.

Shruthi and others are also starring in this film. This is a high budgeted film as far as Kannada film industry is concerned. It is a good experience to work in various language films. Many English films are being dubbed in Tamil. The film Ezham Arivu is based on the life of Bodhi Dharma who lived in Kanchipuram. His disciples are there still in China.

Many films based on their lives have been made and released. One of such films is the English film dubbed in Tamil with the titled Bodhi Dharman. There were lots of graphic scenes in this film. So I edited most of the scenes because it should not be boring. This film has Jet Li in the lead role. Initially this film was released with 100 prints. Now it has been increased by 10 more prints."
